Rendering Lower Field First into Progressive Scan

Can anyone tell me if rendering interlaced, lower field first, .avi video into progressive scan .avi video will have any adverse affects on quality? Thanks!

Don't encode interlaced to progressive, yes it will affect the quality -- do a search on these forums if you are interested in knowing why.
