rendering MPEG-2 files

When I render MPEG-2 files using Vegas 3.0, there is a strange jerkyness to the movement. This occurs using the presets for NTSC SVCD or NTSC-DVD.

I have the samething with vegas 4.0 and i can`t figure out what it is...?

How are you viewing the MPEG-2 files?

If you're viewing them on your PC, in the Vegas timeline (As opposed to final destination format), I'm not surprised at seeing "jerkiness". Render out a small section to your final format, (burn to an CDRW or DVDRW) play it on your DVD player, and see if it still exhibits the same characteristics. Also, provide a few more details as to your setup/format...
