I have Win 98SE. When rendering a 30-minute project, two AVI files are made. I am aware that each file has a 4gb limit in Win 98 and ME, but how can this be fixed so that when I print-to-tape, these files link without a break? I tried WINXP but had too many other editing problems with it. What else can be done?
When you print to tape simply specify the first file. The second one will be added to the print automatically and seamlessly. This only works if you let the render process name the second file and you do NOT change the name afterwards.
Thanks for the response. I tried that but in VV2.0 it will not link automatically. I had to manually line it up on the tape to prevent a break between files. What a mess. After several tries I finally got it. Is upgrading to VV3 the answer?
The VidCap program that comes with VV3 handles this very well. I believe you can install the VV3 demo and that will replace VV2's VidCap program with the new version, which you may continue to use even if you don't upgrade to VV3.
I installed the VV3 demo. The demo wasn't working well, so I uninstalled it. The VV3 capture did not replace VV2 capture. Still trying to link 2 files in VV2. Now what should I do?
