New user here. I tried to post this message and "ignore this user" came up next to my user name. Not sure what that means but here goes anyway. My system is: Sony PCV RX2800S VAIO, 1.2mhz, 522MB Ram, 60Gig HD, All-In-Wonder 128 Pro Ultra AGP Ver. 11.500 video card, ieee firewire and USB and 80gig Maxtor external. Using a Belkin firewire port for hooking externals. Using Windows 2000 on NTFS. I use the standard template of NTSC DV and have tried everything I can think of. PROBLEM: I created a basic 1 hour video with text, music and photo in the beginning and at the end, I opened the main video presentation in Trimmer. I then looped a 4 minute section and dragged it to the time line. I didn't want the material from 4 to 7 minutes so I went to about 7 minutes and then looped it to the end of the clip (52 minutes or so) and dragged it to the timeline. I dragged one over the other for a 3 second time line to create a fade transition from the 4 minute clip to the 52 minute clip. I then rendered the entire .avi file and opened the "rendered" file in Video Vegas. It worked great. Then I tried to open the "rendered" file in Vegas capure and only the first 5 minutes of the video would show up. The file is about 12 gigs in Explorer. I need to copy the rendered file to my Hi8 Sony camcorder, which was the original source, so I can create a master tape. I defrag before doing anything. Please help!
Thanks much.
