Rendering question

When I render my video to be used in DVDA I choose Main Concept MPEG-2 with the template for DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream.

My question: is there an advantage to selecting "2 Pass" in the "Custom Settings"? I am used to doing this in a program I previously used. I know the rendering time is longer - I don't mind. But does it improve the quality or make the file size smaller?

Yes. If your video has motion as well as detail, 2-pass will be better. If it is a slideshow, there will be no apparent difference. File size may be different with 2-pass, but not predictably.

Hint: Setting your minimum bitrate at 2,000,000 instead of 192,000 will all but eliminate blocking and motion artifacts in fades and transitions.
