Rendering Question

This is my first time dealing with HD. I have captured video with a Sony HDR-CX110, the setting is AVCHD 1440 x 1080/60i. When I select Make Movie should I go to the "Render As" and change anything, and if so what do I need to change it to? Thanks.

That all depends on what you're rendering it for. Watch on PC? Burn do DVD? Burn to Blu-ray? Post to youtube?

I don't do HD yet so I'll see if I can get you going until someone else posts a better solution.

Since DVD is standard def, I think you're limited to using the MainConcept MPEG-2 > Program Stream NTSC Widescreen template.

If the resultant file isn't larger then 4.5GB then you're fine. However, if it's larger, then you can go into the Customize Template options to lower the bit rate and enable Two-pass. The idea is to get a mpeg file that is smaller than the disc so it won't be recoded by DVDAS (if you use that).
