Rendering Quicktime for Streaming Video

Hello

I have the ability to stream quicktime movies from my website but I am unclear on a few things.

My hosting service says that it supports QuickTime 4 via Darwin Streaming Server version 2. In the future, they will also support QuickTime 5 via Darwin Streaming Server version 3.

They then provide links to the Apple site for instructions on preparing a quicktime movie for streaming. There they specify things like "Self-contained" and "Hinting"

Self-contained movies contain all the information for that movie within the movie file.
The hint tracks, which are stored in the movie along with the video, audio, and other tracks, provide QuickTime Streaming Server software with information about the server, the transmission packet size, and the protocol to be used--in short, how to send the movie data over the network.

Am I able to render my projects in Vegas 3c for streaming on a Darwin Streaming server?

I don't know anything about what you just asked, however, I do produce QT all of the time for the web. It is not streaming per say, rather buffering. I have never waited for it to start for more than 30 seconds (1 to 3 min videos).

Sample: http://mv02.com then click results and the videos.
