Rendering Settings

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here someone help.

So I'm doing video game stuff on youtube, capturing 720 footage on an elgato and audio through audacity, editing it all together on Movie Studio 12.
Trying to export this file on most settings either results in huge file sizes i.e 188GB, or a poor quality video.

Included in my video is a small picture file and fade transitions, why is this happening? A quick response would be most appreciated as I switched from Pinnacle because I like everything about the Sony stuff but I can't get a nice export going

Which Render As template are you using?

Why not use a template that's optimized for YouTube?

Try Sony AVC/Internet 1280x720-30p.

Your biggest challenge is going to be working with that Elgato video. It uses some strange codecs to create its files, and they often don't digest well in video editors like Movie Studio.

Elgato's devices are made to pretty much go straight to DVD using the software that comes with them (or low-end editors like iMovie or Windows MovieMaker). It's not really designed for serious third-party editing.

To capture analog or VHS video for editing, you really should be using an DV bridge, like the excellent Grass Valley/Canopus AVDC.
