Rendering stills to HD and SD.

So if I wanted to render a still photo montage to both HD and SD what would make the most sense?

Here is my process so far. I create the project in Vegas using a 720p project settings. Then render to WMV9 at 720p and then render to Mainconcept MPG2 DVD Architect render template using wide screen and progressive.

I am assuming that rendering a HD project in Vegas to a SD MPG2 file IS downsampling. Is it really that simple or am I missing something?

I am going over to Amazon right now to get Spots HDV book. Ir's about time.

yes - you would be reducing the resolution..

you might want to make sure you are rendering for dvd using the right template and adjusting the bitrate for your project instead of the default ..
