Rendering Telecine From Scratch

I' m about to render project to MPEG2 24 Telecine (pulldown 2-3). Some sources are at 23.976 and others are plain JPEGs. Can I do it, or it's mandatory to render the pics first to AVI at 23.976?

You can render the whole thing at once.
