Rendering Time Code Burn with Cookie Cutter ... Seems Too Slow?

Hi all,

I'm rendering five minutes of footage with a small timer window using the cookie cutter. The purpose of my footage is to show a gift basket maker assembling a basket at 12X and showing a clock that reflects her progress.

The best way I could figure to do this was to use a time code burn with a cookie cutter window to mask out the undesired parts of the timecode format.

Anyway ... it's taking about two hours to render five minutes of such footage--and that's before the 12X adjustment. Does this seem right?

Thanks,
Scott

It all depends on lots of things. This will require rendering every single frame.. and so your CPU will be doing a great deal of work.

So... is this excessive? It may be.. but it depends on what processor you have.

Need more information.

2Ghz... timecode FX + cookie cutter.. 2 hour render for 5 minutes.. I guess that may be about right.
