Rendering to alpha channel

Hello,
I have made the background of the video transparent, and I need to render it like that onto an alpha channel FLV file.

The ultimate goal is to include the video into a Flash 'transparent player' that plays on top of an html page.

My developer has made a transparent Flash player, and is asking me to supply him the video imperatively on an alpha channel (he tells me he can take other formats than flv, as he can convert from say wmv to flv).

What are the settings that I need to apply in the 'Render as' dialog boxes of Vegas ?

Henry, unfortunately Vegas cannot render out an FLV. I'm still waiting for that feature. What you have to do is render out an uncompressed AVI with the alpha channel and then take that AVI into a program such as Flix Pro or Adobe Flash that can render out an FLV with the alpha channel. After Effects can also render out to FLV with the alpha channel.

if you use the "render to stills" script included with vegas you can render to PNG's which contain alpha's too.

You can also render to Quicktime using the "Animation" codec. It support 32-bit alpha channel.

Thank you for your replies. Rendering to QuickTime with the Animation codec in 32bit mode solved my case, this output being compatible with the available Adobe Flash editors.
