Rendering to AVC(H.264) and MP3

Hi,

Using SVMS9.0b, I am not able to

a) render the audio to MP3 format. MPEG Layer-3 is listed as one of the choices in the Custom Template Audio tab, but when I select it, it says "No Supported format". How do I output audio in MP3 format?

b) render video to MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) format (used by Apple Quicktime). I see "DivX ;-) MPEG-4 Slow-Motion" and "DivX ;-) MPEG-4 Fast-Motion", but I do not see the MPEG-4 AVC Codec (H.264). I really like that Codec. (Note: I can import Quicktime files using this H.264 codec by renaming the .MOV file to .MP4).

Will upgrading to the Platinum version give me the above capabilities? (Don't know how much an upgrade will cost me).

Thank you for taking the time to reply!!

Venu,

You can find the Vegas family comparison chart here. Upgrade prices are all online and if you log in, you can find the upgrade price based on what you already own.

Thanks, Himanshu. Any idea on my questions a) and b) ?

Venu, I'm on VMS 8.0c PE & Vegas Pro 8.1, so I can't be sure if what I am seeing is exactly the same as you.

When I go to File > Render & choose output format as *.mp3, and render out my timeline's audio to MP3, it works fine. I am not sure exactly which format you've selected when you try to render to MP3 audio. Can you render audio separately like I was able to?

Render to MPEG-4 AVC - I don't have any DivX options so I'd better on guess on what's happening there. Maybe someone else can chime in.
