Rendering to multiple avi files

When I render a 30 min project, it splits into 2 avi files, one 18min and one 12min.
I want it to render to one 30min avi file.
What am I doing wrong? Any hints?

sounds like you are rendering to a fat32 drive...under Windows 98SE maybe? Vegas automatically splits the files at render time if you have a files size limit...and the 18 minute mark for DV would be just under the fat32 limit.

Yes, its a FAT32 drive but under Windows XP- Should I reformat to NTFS ??

Do you really have any pressing need to have this output in one file? Vegas' timeline, the print to tape from timeline, and the Vidcap print to tape functions will all seamlessly use those two files as one output. I like having the smaller files because they're easier to handle if i need to move them around.

I guess my advice is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
