Rendering to Quicktime

I have a 20 min sequence of stills that I want to render to a Quicktime movie. I have tried rendering several time, but it always renders for about 45 minutes and then stops with a dialogue, "An Error occurred while creating the media file." No further explanation. I have lots of space on the drive and am a QT Pro owner. What am I missing?

I had the same issue a few months back. While I can't tell you what caused it, I can tell you that a re-install of VV fixed it.

Not a pretty solution I know, but it worked.
