Rendering to standard AVI NTSC DV ** PROBLEM!

Going back to my original problem of not being able to Print to Tape directly using that feature, I tried to "Render As" and AVI using the standard NTSC DV format. It did save the file just fine over a 5 hour period, however, in viewing the file, PROBLEM!

Around the 15 minute mark it starts to strobe, as if there's a white light behind the camera, in the background, strobing. This creates an effect that makes it unbearable to watch as it continues to flicker from that point forward.

As noted in my previous post, I'm am really frustrated that after 3 weeks of editing video I can't get this off my hard drive and back to tape!

Please, please, can anyone give me advise that will work and allow me to just get the edited story back to tape!

FYI, Pentium 866, 1 gig RAM, the project is on a 100 gig hard drive and before the creation of the AVI had 60 gig remaining, it now has 30 gig remaining. I run XP and I turned off the monitor when it was rendering, and there were no errors.

Any real help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Can you please advise what good that will do, I don't mean to sound pesamistic, I just like to know before I send files across the internet. Does the .veg file contain any other computer info that I need to know about, or that might be private.

Thanks, and I do appreciate the help.
