Rendering & Transfer to DVDA Problems Galore!

I rendered my 40 min video as an avi file and got horizontal blurs during movement after transfering it to the DVD.

I then rendered as a Mpeg-2 DV NTSC using lower field first to match up with the video. It looked great on the DVD but then scenes froze skipped and at the end I had a few little green squares on the video?

Last night I tried again and now we are back to the blurs during movement?
Here are the settings I'm using.

Mpeg -2
DVD NTSC
I'm also checking the Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)
Video Render Quality - Good
Interlaced botton field first
Aspect ratio 4:3 Display
Frame Rate 29.970

what is the best setting to transfer to a DVD? I'm using DVD Architect also.

Try setting everything to "default" except the storage folder and render the Mpeg 2 using DVDA NTSC video only template. Then render the audio as AC3 to the same folder. I have never check marked the Stretch Video box. Not sure what it does.
For a 40 minute video the default settings should work well if you render the video and audio separately to the same folder. When you open DVDA and drag the video to the menu the audio will automatically follow. Author using the default settings in DVDA except for the media size which should be changed to 4.7GB.

When you pick a DVD Architect template, by default the audio is turned OFF.

So, do a RENDER AS to MPEG2 using the DVD Architect template.

Do a SECOND Render As to AC-3.

If you give them the exact same name, except for the extension, the AC-3 audio file will be automatically picked up when the MPEG2 file is added in DVDA.

I've done as you said:
I created a folder called mymovie
I rendered the video DVD Architect 24p NTSC Video Stream
I then rendered the audio Dolby Digital AC-3 (8.ac3)
I named both of them rendertest1 and put them in the mymovie folder
I then go to DVD Archtitect and select new - single movie
I then go to my folder containing the rendered video and audio and double click to open it. This opens the open media link - I then double click on my video and it's loaded but without sound?
At the bottom of the open media link it does say Video and audio stream?
Am I doing something incorrect?

You could always manually link the audio in DVDA.
