Rendering with no sound

Since I have to save projects to hard drive first and then open DVDA, I find my rendering has no audio.

I have audio in the project. In version 12 when it would render for DVDA, it would render the video then the audio. All it shows rendering to the hard drive was the video. Am I missing something? Thanks.

You need to render audio and video separately for preparing the media for DVD Architect.

The MPEG2 rendering template you are selected, by default, is rendering the Video stream only. For Audio, use Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio.

Thanks. So every time I render a project I have to render twice, once for video and then audio?

You don't have to, but it's the recognised way of doing it. You can customise the template to include audio but rendering the audio separately doesn't take long and I've found it to be advantageous. Occasionally I need to change the audio for a part of a project and when I do, I only need to render the audio. Saves a lot of time.
