rendering with quicktime h264. error.

Hello.
I am using Sony Vegas 6.0

When I select H.264 from the "video format" field of the render settings of Quicktime, I get an error: "An error occurred while creating the media file xxxx.mov. An error occurred while converting with a codec." This error happens after I try to begin rendering. None of the video renders.

Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue with this. I went into the QuickTime icon in the Control Panel and went to Advanced then in the Video portion chose Use Safe Mode and all work fine and dandy.
