Renderizing for tiktok - vegas pro 18.0

tayna-m wrote on 8/13/2022, 12:31 PM

I'm having some problems when I renderize the video on tiktok's format. I change the format on the render template, but still look like this. Idk why this is happening.

@tayna-m Hi, hard to tell from that picture, can you share a full screen shot inc the Pan/Crop window,

Your Project settings should be TikTok format whatever that is & then your render settings should match.

@tayna-m If your picture is not supposed to look like that, there's few possibilities, either it's how you're setting/using Vegas or it's your PC, you may need to update your graphics driver, can you go to your icon at the top, click it - My Profile, & fill in your Signature with your Vegas version, Windows version & system specs, full name of CPU, GPU, & amount of RAM etc. this will then show at the bottom of the comments, thanks. 👍

Seems to be matching

@tayna-m Try turning off Smart Resampling & you don't need Best for TikTok, Good is more than enough,,,

Done, but it's still happening the same thing. 😅 My guess is that it's my pc, but what's weird is that when it's not on tiktok format, that doesn't really happen.

@tayna-m Ok, V19 wasn't set up for Windows 11 so V18 def wasn't, that may be an issue,

Smart Resample in v19 has been removed, don't think it worked well,

Check your GPU drivers are up to date, you want Studio driver 516.94, In Vegas - Help there's check for driver updates or you can install GeForce® Experience https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/, that's the one i use, ..

PS i prefer NV Encoder in the render options at the bottom, it's faster but Intel is supposed to be more stable, & sometimes when an image doesn't fit the render size even tho it's the same size in the project settings, clicking 'Allow source to adjust frame size' helps to make it fit, but that's only when it's just the wrong size & often has black bars down the side, 4:3 images do this quite often, but yours looks messed up like a GPU issue...

@tayna-m It looks like you're taking those pics with a phone camera,

Windows key+Shift+S will let you capture full screen or part of it, the screen will go a little darker & options will show at the top of the screen, select what you want & it'll go to your Notifications, open it & save..

There's Snipping Tool in Windows Accessories in the Start menu, that does similar stuff,

& Geforce Experience when installed will capture full screen with Alt+F1 👍

Okay, so I did everything you said, except changing to NV encoder, and the same was still happening, but then I changed to NV to test it, and it fixed the problem, I think it may have been that, or like everything you said together. Idk honestly, but what matters is that it was fixed, thanks for the help!

@tayna-m Glad it's sorted 👍

PS, in future when there's a problem, select a short part of your project, choose render Loop Region Only so it will render fast, then only change one thing in the settings at a time - render & see if that has fixed the problem, if not put that setting back to how it was & change something else - render & see if that's better, if not keep putting the setting back to how it was & changing only one thing at a time, that way you'll keep track of what you've changed, worked & what didn't, (sometimes tho it is more than one thing that has to change in order for it to be fixed 😂😂)
