I had to speciy the NTSC DV AVI type, but besides that, yes, it's all good.

I have often wondered this. A lot of the people use the rendertest when comparing the MPEG2 render speed. It is very different depending on your target video format. They need to post some standard. Maybe the rendertest text should be changed from "Sample Text" (isn't that what it is) to directions of what format "Render as NTSC DVD MPEG2 Template" or something consistant. Or maybe there could be multiple rendertest timings, one for AVI DV NTSC. I bet a lot of people are comparing apples and oranges in their timings and wondering why they can't get that performance.

Actually, if you look at the summary page, the test results look about right.
Starting from the bottom up, you'll see the times drop as the processor/ram configuration improves.
I think if you search this forum you'll find the thread where all this was discussed originally. I think the "render as" standard was established in that thread.
Look for "test" or something like that.
