I noticed this also... when you insert a marker it gets a number in numerical sequence based upon the order they were created. Luckily that does not impact the order in which DVDA treats them for chapter points as it always goes in physical order through the timeline.

This "feature" has sometimes caused me a bit of a problem as I have some projects where I have up to 80 or so jpeg slides on the timeline. I use markers to help me position each slide. Sometimes I find I need to add another marker (to insert a new slide) somewhere in the middle of it all. In doing so that new marker gets a number that is way out of sequence. I won't go into detail as to exactly why this is a pain but it is to do with trying to keep track of the rest of the slides along the time-line.

Bottom line is.. I wish there were a script... or built-in feature that would automatically re-number them all.
