Reorder Markers?

I have a project with about 15 video events. I have put in markers to indicate where the chapter points would be as well as to label the contents of each event. I missed one marker the first time through so went back and put it in last. This disrupted the numbering of the first ten markers. I now have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, blank, 6, 7, 8, etc.

Is this a problem? Is there anyway to renumber the first ten? Do I want to?

Thanks...

Right-mouse-button click on each marker and you can rename them to be anything you want. The numbers barely matter in the slightest and the order matters not at all. They're only there to give you quick keyboard-shortcut access to them, and that only applies to the first 10 anyway.

Thanks. I knew how to rename them, I was concerned that the out of sequence numbering would cause problems with DVD chapters. As long as that's not an issue then I'm good.

There is a much easier way: Select View -> Edit Details. In that dialog box, select Show Markers. You can edit the names here without any "mousing around." If you know your way around a spreadsheet, you can easily generate numbers from 1 to 35 (or whatever number of markers you have), copy them from the spreadsheet, and then paste into the "Name" column of the Edit Details dialog box. Pretty much a two step operation, even if you have 200 markers.

No, the marker order will not affect your chapter setup.
