Replace at T/L Event Level?

OK ok ok . .. I've got Events on the timeline .. . how can I easily/fluidly/flowingly replace Events directly from Explorer? Yes I can select a Media Pool event and "replace" from there. But supposing I got Events 1 thru 5 on the t/l and I want to replace No. 3 with something I can see in Explorer? Hmm?

Grazie, don't know if you can do it in one step, but you can drag something from Windows explorer,drop it on the timeline, which puts it in the media pool, then do the takes/replace thing. But, you probably know this, and are trying to simplify it further.

Just checked, you can do this from an Explorer window within Vegas......
