Replace Media Bug update

Well, it got me again. For those who hadn't given up hope, it was with the

"Close media files when not the active application" off.

So now its happened to me with that both checked and unchecked.

This bug really, really REALLY sucks. If SCS can demonstrate that 11 has killed this bug (and I mean killed in a really over-the-top, graphic, vengeance style execution) than they will make a bunch of money off upgrades.

At least mine. This is now the only thing I care about in an upgrade.

Based on previous experience here on the forum, I would say the bad bug lives on in 11 for sure or the Forum Advisor would have posted an update by now to help offset the many complaints.

I recently had a repeat dose. Once again it was only the generated media text events (subtitle comments to the video) that got replaced with video content, so it was fairly painless to go through and do them again. My first ever occasion was not so simple however.

For anyone that thought it's only replaced when closing and re-opening I just had it happen without closing a project.
I was auditioning some loops on a CD (needed a bongo for a silly effect) and then erroneously dragged it from the CD to the timeline. I then removed the CD and discovered VP10 had replaced this 3 second loop with 3 seconds of audio (only) from a video clip somewhere down the timeline.
It seems I would have gotten the missing media dialogue.
