Replacing media

I have downloaded some very good VEG files and want to replace the example media used (usually Colour Bars) with my own, but without having to re-apply the effect from scratch... how is this possible?

One easy way would be to rename the files you want to use and have the same name as the ones in the timeline, then vegas will open up your clips instead of the ones in there already. I'm not sure if there is an easier way to do it.

Easy....(unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do)....

...when you open the file you get prompted to search for the missing files. Just select your own files instead. However I find that when I first open the veg file I have no clue (apart from the listed filename) what the media file is actually for. I prefer to click on the "ignore" option. Then just go into the Media browser, right click on the media listed, and choose replace. Then select your own media that is most appropriate for you.
