Replacing MPEG Audio Track

I've spent forever creating (rendering) an MPEG video but I
used too low a sampling rate for the audio, so it sounds
dreadful. Does anyone know a way to simply "change" the
audio part of an MPEG file - what I don't want to do it
rerender all the video because it took about 8 hours, I
just want to redo the audio component.
