Replacing Single Frames - How?

I am working on my first project in Vegas 4. I am trying to replace single frames of video by coping the frame before and after the two I want to replace. I do not want to alter the audio track with this edit. The purpose is to remove the flash from a camera. I want to run this clip through Dynapel's Steadyhand which is doesn't like flash. Any advice on performing this edit? Just haven't been able to figure it out.
Thanks

Interesting, but be aware that it is my observation that a flash never takes up only one frame.

Hi,

You might try this:

Zoom in on the TL
Split the track at the flash, plus the frame before, and the frame after.
Yer timeline has this:
VVVVVV|B|FF|A|VVVVVVVVVV

V=video
B= frame before flash
F=frames of flash
A=frame after flash
|=split

then just delete the F frames and Ctrl-drag copies of A & B into the hole (ripple off):

VVVVVVBBAAVVVVVVV...

Like wcoxe indicates, flashes linger, but if the repair looks funny, you might undersample the whole event for a step-frame effect.
