replicate transitions the same way during split

Can someone offer advice as to whether Vegas Video 3.0 has a feature to apply the same transition when I split the track.

I work with long tracks (approximately 55 minutes) and throughout the track I like to split (as many as 30 times without removing anything from the track) and apply the same fadeout at the end of the split and a page peel at the beginning. The audio also fades down at the end and up at the beginning of the transition.

Is there any feature where I can apply this group of changes everytime I split (using "S" in the timeline)?

Your help would be greatly appreciated and would definitely recuce my production time.

Thanks,

Jeff

Two step operation, plus a little prep:

Prep:

Set the editing pref "fade edges of video events" to the desired fade length. Set "fade edges of audio events" to the desired fade length (these don't have to match).

Split an event- you'll see the fades on either side of the split. Right click on the video fade on the right, and change to the transition type you like. Adjust the parameters as needed. Copy (ctrl+c) that transition to the clipboard.

Now you are ready to split up the timeline. Every split ("s") will create the fades (step 1), and then you can simply paste (ctrl+v) the clipboard transition wherever you want it (step 2).
