Reporting on Markers

Clark153 wrote on 4/17/2008, 1:29 PM
The project I am editing is a somewhat freeform interview with my Grandmother. I have viewed the entire interview and have placed markers on the time line to indicate the topic being discussed.

How can I get a printed (or exported) report out of Vegas of each marker and its place in the timeline?

I am using Vegas 8.0 Platinum.

Thanks!

Open the “Edit Details” window.
Select “Show Markers”.
Select all lines and press Ctrl+C to copy data
Open Notepad and press Ctrl+V to paste data

I am having a hard time finding the "Edit Details" window. Can you be more specific (I'm still fairly new to Vegas).

Thanks!

From the View menu > choose Edit Details (or press Alt+6)
But I realise you are using Vegas Platinium and I’m not sure it’s available in this version.

View -> Edit Details (or press Alt-6).

It may appear in a tabbed view if you have it "docked," so look at the bottom of the screen for tabs.

Once you have the Edit Details view showing, look in the upper left corner of that view at you will find a listbox titled "Show." Select "Markers" from that list.

Finally, to cut the entire list, click on the blank box that is at the intersection of the row and column headers (i.e., in the upper left corner of this little spreadsheet). This will select the entire Markers spreadsheet. Then, use Ctrl-C (to copy) or Ctrl-X (to cut). Then, switch to your word processor or spreadsheet and paste the data.

Thanks for all the input, apparently it is a Pro feature. My view menu skips from Alt-5 to Alt-7, no Edit item under View.

Thanks again!

You have Movie Studio? This is the Vegas forum.
