Even better, i'd like the ability to save the current rendering state, then be able to exit Vegas, reboot my computer, launch Vegas again, and pick up rendering from where it left off. Ahhhhhh, that would be delightful!

I requested this feature almost a year ago and Chienworks requested it a few years before that. Maybe one day we can pause a render or save the state... either or both would be good.

Prior thread.

The programmers don't seem to like to mess with a render in motion. Kind of like trying to stop a baseball bat in mid-swing or a golf swing. I suppose it is very difficult, just like getting a new titler.

well put it this way, if a render crashes, the render file UP TO THAT POINT is still valid and workable, in turn, that "currupted" unfinished render can be reimported back into vegas and be made to behave like a prerendered file

If a "damagd" render can be used lile this, then i dont see why this cannot be controled.. all vegas needs to do is tie the render command to the existing rendered file and "add" to it.
.
Who knows... when u consider what this implies, it might also be workable as a smartrendering facility, where the render engine ties the "new" render with an original or preexisting file..
