I have a P4 based PC that is not really up to editing native HDV directly. Because of this I've been using the absolutely brilliant Gearshift script. As good as it is, I do have one small complaint:
When I browse a directory full of proxies with the Vegas explorer window, all I see is bunch of clips called "GSProxy...". Boy would I love to see that replaced with something simpler like maybe just a single underscore character. That way when browsing a directory full of proxies, the names would read "_clip1.avi, _clip2.avi, etc." instead of "GSProx...,GSProx..., GSProx..., etc." Is there any way to at least have a proxy naming convention like this available as an option? It would help me out immeasurably.
