Require technical assis

I am posting this thread to request technical assistance on Movie Studio Platinum 16.0 (build 109).

The system specification I'm working with is below:

OS: Windows 10 1809

CPU: Intel 7820HK

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 (Notebook) with Geforce 430.39 and 425.31

Physical RAM: 16Gb.

Editing videos are stored on a Thunderbolt 3.0 external driver. This is also the driver the rendering file will be saved to.

There're several issues I encountered consistently during my usage of the software:

  1. the Stabilization FX doesn't work with a particular clip which I've uploaded here. I've tried with the clip in its original 4K H.265 format and 1080p H.265 or H.264. The software always crashes without crash error report windows when the stabilization is close to finish.
  2. The software doesn't utilize enough of the GPU in both rendering and preview. In rendering, even using the the Nvidia encoder, on average only 10~13% of the GPU video encode is utilized, and around 10% of the GPU copy is utilized as shown in the Task Manager. In such rendering process the CPU is always at over 80%. In comparison, when I use the software VideoProc to turn 4K videos to 1080p videos, the GPU video encode is used around 50% constantly and the CPU usage is consistently below 50%.
  3. I've been trying to render a project using 4K video clips (HEVC, 60fps) into a 1080p movie, the final file size of which is expected to be 3~4G.
In the Task Manager it can be observed that MSP would constantly take the system RAM from about 2.5Gb until 8~10Gb. At this time the rendering process will pause, and the CPU and GPU utilization will drop to 0%. The rendering process cannot be cancelled in the software and it seems to freeze. Sometimes the software will simply make the graphic card driver crash and the system has to be rebooted. And quite shockingly, in the whole process, as observed in the Task Manager, there is only around 10Mb/s of disk activity. And the resulted file is always zero size. (This is shockingly weird as if other software works like this, we'll never be able to download any file larger than our system memory size.)

Point 2 and 3 are especially annoying and disappointing. And I must say the VEGAS' customer support is terrible because I cannot find contact information that I can send a ticket to an engineer on your website. And everytime on the forum I want to open a thread about MSP, it always turn to a error 404 page.

I will sincerely ask for some technical assistance or refund at best (though I've pass the 30 days time or whatever).

Thank you.
