rerendering

Greetings Vegas forum users,

As a VMS-er, I initially posted this message on that forum - however if you take a look at that board, you'll see I've received zilch for responses. So thought I'd post it here, seeing that VMS and Vegas probably are likely pretty similar with respects to this issue.

Here's a copy of my VMS post. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello.

I've just finished rendering a 30-second family vacation video, and all went well - except that upon looking at the final product, I want to go back and make one small change by adding an event fx to one scene.

After adding my change, must I re-render the whole video (which takes about 2 hours), or is there a faster way to do it, given that I only want to make one small adjustment to the video?

Thanks for any advice.

If you are rendering to a file (not to MAKE TAPE), then yes it will have to re-render the whole thing. The end result is one file, so there is no way for Vegas to insert information into a file, it has to create the whole thing.
