Resample switch

I am about to do a LOT of slow motion work. The VideoFactory help file advises to use the "resample switch" when doing slow motion. I have searched this forum and have even seen a few messages from the SF moderator referring to this switch, and also recommending that it be used for slo-mo. Problem is, I can't find it. I am using VideoFactory 2.0c, Build 125.

To try to find it, I first selected the video event, and then looked at every item and sub-item in the Edit menu, but I coudn't find it.

Question 1: Where is it?
Question 2: Do I need it?

Thanks.

Hi John,

I asked this very question mysef a while ago, but no one answered me!

Is there a resample switch? I don't think so. I least not anywhere I can see. It's easy to find on the Vegas demo though.

Does it resample? Apparently, yes. I took a small snip of the horse.avi (from the sample application) and stretched it by 4 times and rendered back to DV AVI. Played it back, and absolutely beautiful slow motion. I brought the new clip back in and stepped through it frame by frame. It does indeed interpolate the missing frames. It's almost magic. Some frames showed some ghosting by the horses feet, but wasn't noticable when played.

So forget about a switch. You're going to get beautiful slow motion as long as your original source is not missing any frames.

In Videofactory 2, if you are doing slo-mo, resampling is turned on automatically for all slo-mo events. There is no exposed option to turn it on or off.
