Resize MPG File and WAV

My Question is probably very simple. Does Architect Studio or Sony Vegas Movie Studio have the capability of resizing the output of MPG and WAV files? If this software does not do this functionality, could you please direct me to some software that does. I want to put at least 1.75 to 2.0 hrs of DVD Movie in a 4.7 Gig DVD.

If you have one of the newer versions of DVDA then you can use AC3 instead of WAV and this will save some space. AC3 is typically about 1/8 the size of WAV.

You can use the Fit-to-disc option in DVDA to have it encode the MPEG file at a bitrate that will just fit your desired length onto the disc. It's best to start with an AVI file when choosing this option so that you don't end up re-encoding an already encoded file.
