Resolution

Okay, I'm new to this digital video stuff so forgive my ignorance. I'm working on a wedding montage using *.psd stills that were scanned. Everything is working fine. However, when I maximize the *.avi file that I've made, it looks blurred and somewhat pixelated for lack of a better term. I haven't really tried resolving it because I don't really know where to look. I've gotten away with it in the first wedding montage but I wanted to refine my skills. It's being projected onto a 10' wide screen. Anyone know how I can polish up the final product?

How are you viewing the .avi file? If you're using Windows Media Player and it's a DV .avi file, go to Tools in Media Player, choose Performance, and under Digital Video settings move the slider all the way to the right (Large). If you have this set at the default value of one notch over, it resizes DV to half size before showing it on the screen.

Chienworks - Just tried it and, at least with the video I get off the net, it's still pixelated. I'll try it at home with my project and see how it goes. I am using Windows Media to present it.

Well, I sorta figured it out. I tried Chien's suggestion and that didn't seem to work. At the same time, I was messing with the WOW settings in Windows Media. I changed the Zoom feature to 200%. That still didn't work so I closed Windows Media. I re-opened it and tried to play the .avi file again. Low and behold, it worked!! I don't know what happened other than what I did. But it works now so I'm a happy camper!
