[Resolved] Audio Delay with the Film Effects FX

Hello,

my friends and I are making a video about the time after WW2 for a school project, so I wanted to use the Film Effects FX to make it look like it was actually filmed around that time. However, when I apply one of the effects to the video, the audio and the video are not in sync anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When you render is it out of sync or is it out of sync on the timeline?

It's only out of sync in the timeline, which makes it difficult to precisely cut the clip. I could of course render it and then cut the video, but then I would have to render and cut it again if I want to change something.

A rule of thumb for video editing is to do the editing/cutting first, then using fx. You could also apply your fx but then bypass in the preview for better playback performance.

Your system is not able to process the effects in real time so it slows down. You could temporarily disable the effect, change the preview settings or do as Marco suggest and not add affects until you are done with the basic editing.
