[RESOLVED] “UNMANAGED EXCEPTION (0xccccffff)” AFTER MASKING

kylexvmery wrote on 9/16/2018, 10:29 PM

Ive been experiencing this on going problem after masking an object. When I would try to view the clip that I have masked frame by frame the “problem report” pops up which crashes the entire program. I’ve tried every possible solution I can find (ex. Enable multi-core rendering for playback, turning off GPU, running program in compatibility mode for windows vista, etc, uninstalling certain third party plugins like BCC, etc.). I’ve notice this only happens on two certain clips. Ive tried those two certain clips on a new project file and it was the same problem when masking. I’ve tried rendering that certain clip(s) as well but ends up crashing during the process of rendering that clip(s).

i can’t find any possible reason for this to happen. I ran a scan for any possible viruses or melware, nothing. I have a brand new Alienware laptop as well and is strictly used for video production on Vegas 14. I was thinking of updating to Vegas 15/16, but uncertain if my project will be transferred over to the updated Sony Vegas.

its just unfortunate this is occurring because I’m 45seconds away from finishing this 2 and half minute project that I worked extremely hard on.

if anyone could give a helping hand, I would truly appreciate it.

If you're in a bind, you can try converting the clips to a different format and then editing them, that will get things done quickly for you. If not, download the app "MediaInfo" and run it on both clips. switch to HTML view and paste in the results it gives you for each clip. This will help isolate which media type is causing the problem.

You should update your build 161 to the current build of VP14 first.

Thank you for everyone’s help/assistance. The update build corrected everything. I should’ve done it a LONG time ago. This problem only started occurring close to the end of my project. I assume it was all the 3rd party and masking effects I was using, which is basically on every clip I had on the timeline.

Again, thank you to everyone that reponded and assisted me. Truly appreciate it.
