Resume editing

Hi everyone.

Could someone please tell me how to set up Vegas so that when I open the program it takes me to my last editing point?
And also so that when I open my previously-editing file, it is 'stretched' (sorry, I can't think of the correct word!) the same way I have previously set it up, instead of being all squashed up together. (As u can see, I am having a not-so-eloquent day!)

Thanking you very much, in anticipation of your reply,
Rach

The only way i know to do this is to not close the project.

Why are you closing it?

Hi Rach.
What I do when I want to close the project down but remember where I am is to set the cursor at the required point then press M then Enter. This puts a marker at that point on the timeline. When I open the project I place my cursor on the marker then use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in on the marker. Right click on the marker and select delete ready for your next marker.
