Resusing designs

Short of learning how to edit/create themes, has anybody figured out a way to re-use a DVD design? Ie, size and style of buttons, font size, etc. Or one must just slog through and not only design each page separately, but start from scratch when building a new DVD?

I know about the themes that come with DVD-A, but I'm trying to produce a series of DVDs all using one custom design. Perhaps I could open up a completed DVD, then just change the links to point to different objects and edit the text? any other workarounds?

Unless you're comfortable with XML making template for DVD-A can be a little tricky, especially the odd way they implemented it.

Since the thing that changes most is the background all you really need to do is make varations on that using Photoshop or any similar graphic program. I've made a few dozen already.

One of these days I put up a Flash animation on my new site on how to go about it. If you're more concered with getting the placement the same DVD to DVD or page to page one trick I used that works good is to make a background image that has 'placeholders' and make it semi-transparent.

In other words once you come up with a design you like, just make a screen capture of it, then bring it into Photoshop, whatever you have and change colors, texture, stuff like that then when its time to do the next page or next DVD just drop this 'template' as a background image in the work area and move your thumbnails, text into place.
