Unfortunately for you, this feature is only available in the full version of Vegas.

Movie Studio is not the professional version and does not have any video envelopes. The link takes you to a comparision of the Vegas line.

Busterkeaton's link is wrong, it takes you back here.

Here's the link to the Vegas Movie Studio forum.

As Kelly says the full version of Vegas 4 will get you velocity envelopes set to any minus figure will get you reverse:

1/ - 100% Normal forward speed

2/ - 0% Static

3/ - -100% Normal speed reverse

. .and anything in between.

Also ... im not quite sure what you mean by "Full version of 4.0" ... could you explain this better ???

You could probably download the Vegas 5 demo if you just need to do this for 1 project.....I belive it's a fully functioning demo apart from the MPEG encoding.

What Grazie said was "the full version of Vegas 4".
You have Vegas Movie Studio 4.0 (actually Vegas Movie Studio+DVD?)which, as you've found out, does have limitations. The upgrade to Vegas 5 will run you $460.00 U.S.

Vegas comes in two flavors. The "full" version has hundreds of features that the "Studio" version doesn't have. It also costs hundreds of dollars more.

The differences are listed here:

Trust us. It's worth every penny!!
If you're a student, you can get an educational price of $190 for Vegas or $290 for Vegas+DVDA.

That's why I told him to download the demo....once he does and sees what he is missing he will want to buy it!
