You can't avoid a re-build. This is one of the reasons that I almost always recommend that the video/audio be rendered from Vegas rather than letting DVDA do the work.

Definitely ALWAYS render in Vegas. That way, any changes in DVDA only results in having to prepare the disk again. This process usually only takes ten minutes, instead of several hours.

I must be doing something wrong, because I DO "render as MPEG2 default" in Vegas.
I then, also, render the sound as AC-3 (default) files.
But DVDA is still re-rendering my files, although not all of them (help).

The stuff looks great, but I always thought there should be a "quick-fix" re-render, if you didn't touch the movies.

There are Mpeg Editing programs that WILL let you piece together Mpeg files without re-encoding.

I do this with MPEG Video Wizard all the time.

You need to use the DVD Architect NTSC (or PAL is you live in PALland) Template for your render from Vegas - NOT the default template.

Never use the default MPEG-2 template. ALWAYS use the DVD Architect templates.

Oh, that's good.

Gary, if you haven't seen the latest political parodies over at AtomFilms, check out the latest from the same guys that did "This Land." It is a hoot, and it pokes equal fun at Bush and at Kerry, so everyone can watch without getting outraged. These guys (actually two guys and a girl from the same family) have real talent.
