I've been asked to revise the introduction media for a DVD that I completed a few years ago. All I have is a copy of the DVD. The source files are long gone.
The DVD has a multi-level menu and 16 sets of BUP/IFO/VOB files.
Many thanks to Steve Grisetti over on the DVDA Software forum who helped me to get part way to the solution. But I'm not a total success yet so I thought I'd ask over here.
Here's what I've done:
- confirmed which VOB holds the original intro media.
- created a VOB with the same name as the original intro media by preparing the revised footage (by itself) in an otherwise blank DVDA menu based project
- copied the new VOB over the original VOB in the original VIDEO_TS folder
- burned the modified project to disc using the previously prepared option in DVDA
It's almost right. The new introductory media starts fine BUT the end action goes to the wrong clip.
Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting strategy ??
Thanks in advance.
