RGB to 709

When rendering a TIF/TGA/PNG image-sequence to DVD, the CC filter with the "Computer RGB to Studio RGB" setting is added before the render to mpeg2. No problem.

So what happens when rendering to BR? In Glenn's notes on the subject he writes that "the difference is subtle and is usually not noticed"¹, which suggests I should use the same filter settings and not worry about it. But I wanna double-check before going too far down this path...

So should I use a color matrix to remap from RGB to 709, or is the "Computer to Studio" preset in CC close enough?

The sRGB standard has the same primaries as Rec. 709, so you don't do anything special.

You do need to handle your levels correctly because it's a manual process in Vegas. See the example workflows in the levels article. The Bluray codecs (the default/standard ones in Vegas anyways) should behave the same as MPEG2 in terms of levels. The example workflows have a MPEG-2/DVD example... you can use that.
