rip audio and convert to mp3

Is there any way to rip audio from a video that I have imported into MS and save the audio seperate from the video?

MovieStudio will open MP3 files, but it won't save them. You would be able to rip to WAV and probably to WMA.

you can save the audio of the video to .wav in Moviestudio
go to 'make movie' , save to hard disk, select the advance render.
from the drop down menu of 'save as type' select wav.

If you want to save the audio as MP3 you can send it to an external editor like Audacity and then save it in the new format.
