I would have liked to be remembered as being any percentage of the man he was. Completely wonderful, irrationally smart, and tremendously compassionate long before he knew of his impending death.
He gave so much.

Thanks D Gates - I must admit I didn't know of this man, but I just spent a valuable 1hr 16 mins being inspired by him.

I did not remember the name but I watched some of the video and instantly remembered him, I watched a ABC or NBC special on him and was very impressed by his ferver for life and his passion for his work, and more important his family. That is something we could all strive for. If we had more people like him in this world what a better place it could be.
May he live forever in our minds..

A kind and intelligent man, the only thing that surprised me was how rabidly supportive he was of Carnegie-Mellon University. The only other time I've seen this level of devotion was at a USC homecoming rally. Middle-aged women cheering with tears in their eyes as the marching band goes by. I guess it must bring back some strong memories.

A friend took several of Professor Pausch's classes at Carnegie-Mellon and told me that he was one of the most inspiring, respected professors he'd ever had.
