"Ripple" a transition?

Is there a way (hopefully easy way) to replicate a transition multiple times?
I have several images on the timeline, and I just want a simple tranisition between each of them - the same transition each time. Please tell me that I don't have to manually insert that transition between every still image....

I believe you can select all of the events, then drag a transition between any two of them, and it will be applied to all of them. (For VMS 6 or later.)

Zoom way out on the timeline so you can see all of the desired events. Then use the "select" tool (up at the top of the window -- I think it looks like a pointer arrow with a dotted rectangle), and drag a rectangle that either touches or encloses the desired events. Now grab the transition and drag it between any two of the events.
