ripple edit

Is it just me or the way that ripple edit is supposed to
work according to page 152 of the manual doesn't. Try as I
might using those instructions I cannot get certain clips
on certain tracks to ripple to the right when those
instructions are followed. The insert paste command does
work but either the manual is wrong, the software has
changed or I am doing something drastically wrong. Can
anybody give me a clue on this.

David

Are the tracks locked? Ripple edit will only work on unlocked tracks.

Hi Tony - no none of the tracks are locked. In further
testing it appears NONE of the functionality of ripple edit
works. If I delete an event with ripple edit turned on for
example, all clips to the right should shuffle back yes?
Not in my case ....

Weird.

David

Ripple editing works fine. You have to create a time
selection though. It won't ripple if you just delete an
event that's selected. You have to double click on the
event or events to ripple. Pasting should work fine, though.
