Does Vegas Pro have a shortcut to "cut and ripple" an event in the timeline? A key(s) that would save time trimming clips (before or after the cut point).
It's also possible to redirect those Trim-start and Trim-end keys to other keyboard keys. So instead of Alt+[ and Alt+], I prefer the just the A and D key for this, since the S-key is already for splitting an event.
Another option is to redirect those keys to a shuttle control.
Also no need to activate Ripple, you can always ripple-edit directly after a Trim-start or Trim-end by pressing F, CTRL+F or CTRL+Shift+F (for following ripple edit options):
@3POINT 👍 I used MEP for many yrs, that's Z trim start, U trim end & T for cut 👍
That's probably useful on a german keyboard, but a disaster on an international keyboard.
A,S,D keys are located on the same place on both keyboards.

@3POINT I've an international keyboard, for yrs i used it so it was just instinctive, but never heard of a German keyboard, just Googled it & aha! it makes sense now why those keys are chosen as default shortcuts, i always wondered why they were spread out like that but on the German one they're not, Thanks.
@Former user As I'm a Dutchman living in Germany, I have two keyboards connected to my editing PC, a German and an International keyboard. The german keyboard I use mainly for those typical german characters üöäß...😁

Makes perfect sense. Now enjoying fast editing.

@3POINT Travelled or past through Germany many times to tour East Europe for a couple of mths at a time & to drive down to Crete where i stayed for 2-3mths during the winter 5-6 yrs in a row, I've a cousin living in Germany, German is a fairly universal language in East Europe right down to Crete, I learnt many German words.. but i still can't spk German 😂😂
Driving down from UK to Crete...isn't flying faster and cheaper?

I had friends living in Crete, we took an old van full of tinned food, (baked beans +Tuna..) & some other food stuff + boxes of Rizla, a lot of things are imported there so some things are expensive, Baked Beans 10p in Liddle UK - £2.50 in Crete, Rizla 20p - £2 in Crete, we'd also sell the van when down there, MOT is not as strict down there 🙈 It was a bit of a rd trip which paid for itself, filled their cupboard with food & other some ex-pats, German, English...,
When touring East Europe we'd buy an old German van, Deutsche Post VW's were almost perfect, Diesel was cheap in the 90's, ½ the price of the UK, we'd stay in the smaller towns, for £5 a night i could camp, eat well & get drunk in the sun 😂😂
Is it possible to assign a shortcut for auto ripple affected tracks and a different hotkey for all tracks?
I use both mode, and the icon doesnt show info about which mode is active (only if autoripple is enabled or disabled), so i always have to click the arrow next to it, and select the wanted mode.
With two different hotkeys it will be much-much easier and faster to edit my projects.

There're already hot keys present for the different ripple modes. See the screenshot in my earlier post.
but i don't talk about post-edit ripple. i talk about the auto ripple button. I like to enable it for affected track with one key, and all tracks with other key.
The auto ripple button is a switch that can be switched on/off and when switched "on" depending of it's setting it will it acts according: there are no hot keys to change that setting.
When auto ripple button is "off" than following hot keys ripple once according:
Personally I seldom switch the auto ripple button to "on" and use than those hot-keys.
